Deer Ms Waltraud Do you need more roils? It sounds as though
you may not have any at the moment. You must be very sad. I wonder
which one of our roils we could leave with you. Probly none. None of
us would dare go home to our hues without all of us. Hmm, we must
think about this. You cant have a perfectly trained hue without a roil. Your friend Taggart from Oz
Deer Taggart Thank you, deer friend in Oz. Yes, after
sixteen years of living with
Roils, I am almost totally on my own. While
Destiny a 'Roil Hound of
Stone' guards the home fires, and Roil Ida (100% cotton and
twice lifesize), keeps me
warm, there is no life Roil or other hound/dog of my
own to be spoiled rotten, to
sing/howl with, to be made a fuss of, to answer back,
and so on and on. I
would be honoured and very happy if any of you would
consider staying with me
even on a temporary basis for some days, weeks,
months or even years, until a new
forever Roil joins me. Maybe any of you
visiting Scotland could work out
a rota between yourself and your hues and then
stay with me in relays. Living in hope, Waltraud (very well trained by Roils)
Deerest Roils You get off your moonbeams when you a choir
of 12 Siberian Huskies and a pitiful hoomin (me) trying to get your
attention - it definitely has
got the attention of all the hoomins living here -
those Huskies are practising
all day long! As I wrote before, all the
neighbourhood dogs and hounds
light up the road to my estate with torches from dusk to
dawn. We are not too
far from the old town of Lanark, about 30 miles to
Edinburgh or Glasgow. PS: The larder has been re-stocked
with all kinds of good
Scottish food and drink, i.e. Haggis, fresh, marinated and
smoked salmons and trouts by
the dozens, smoked kippers, shortbread and
mince pies - for the ones with a
sweet tooth or two, fresh eggs for breakfast from
the newly arrived freerange chickens on the estate, and
plenty of whisky to warm you up,
or just some strong tea with or without milk;
the Scottish/German food
are venison haunches in red wine sauce with potatoes
roasted in goose fat, the
German food consists of all kinds of sausages and ham,
freshly baked bread,
Christmas cookies and cakes, mulled wine and
beer. All Roils and their
Companions are welcome - the more the merrier... Save landing Waltraud
Dear Ali I love Russians - their art and
especially their music and
dances, and am sure that you'll excell in both. So, a BIG
WELCOME to you anytime! Waltraud
Dear Roils, We can only gasp in admiration (and envy)
at the feast awaiting you at
the Hess residence. Sad to say, our Huemins cannot begin to
match that, especially as there
will be so many to cater for. OH DEER, do you think any Roils will
compleate their journey to Kintyre
after banqueting on such fare???? We can only suggest that IF,(and this is
unlikely) IF there is anything
left over, perhaps Miss Hess might be persuaded
to pack up 'doggie bags' to
take with you. Still hoping to see you,all soon, George & Freyja
